Aurise collects information you provide directly to us, such as:
- Your name, email address, and profile information
- Activity data within the app, including photos/images and text
- Device and usage data, such as device model and operating system
- Purchase and subscription data from Apple or Google
- Communication data, including support emails
- Push notification token for delivering notifications
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our services
- Personalize your experience with personalized AI coaching and progress tracking
- Maintain safety, security, fraud prevention, and integrity of the App
- Process purchases/subscriptions, including eligibility and entitlements via Apple/Google
- Fix bugs, analyze performance, and improve features
- Provide support and communicate important updates
- Comply with legal obligations and platform policies
3. Device Permissions and Why We Ask
We request permissions for the following features:
- Camera (iOS: NSCameraUsageDescription): To capture photos you choose to upload for features like analysis and comparisons. This is optional and controlled by you.
- Photo Library (iOS: NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription): To select photos you choose to upload or share. This is also optional and controlled by you.
- Face ID/Biometrics (iOS: NSFaceIDUsageDescription): To enable secure authentication or quick re-entry to your account. We do not access or store your biometric templates; the biometric decision remains on your device.
- Push Notifications (iOS background remote-notification mode): To send reminders, progress updates, and relevant alerts if you opt in. You can manage or revoke notification permission in your device settings at any time.
4. Information Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties without your consent, except as described in this policy. We may share information with service providers who assist us in operating our app and conducting our business. We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited information with:
- Service Providers: Cloud hosting, storage, content processing (e.g., to handle uploads/analysis you request), push delivery (e.g., Apple Push Notification service, Firebase Cloud Messaging), crash/diagnostic services, and customer support tools. They act on our instructions.
- App Stores and Payment Processors: Apple and Google for purchases, renewals, refunds, and entitlements.
- Legal and Safety: Where required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
5. Data Security
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the App and for legitimate and lawful purposes (e.g., maintaining your account, providing features you use, resolving disputes, meeting legal/financial record obligations for transactions).
When you delete your account, we delete or de‑identify your personal data within a reasonable time, except where retention is required by law or legitimate business purposes (e.g., transaction records required by platforms or tax law). However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information:
- Account Deletion and Data Removal: You can delete your account and associated data in the App’s Settings. This triggers deletion of your personal data from our active systems, subject to lawful retention obligations.
- Permissions: Grant or revoke Camera, Photos, biometrics, and Notifications at any time in your device settings. Some features may not work without the relevant permission.
- Access, Correction, Deletion: You may request access to or deletion of your data, or correction of inaccurate data, by contacting us. We may ask you to verify your identity to protect your account.
- Communications: You can opt out of non-essential communications; service or transaction notices may still be sent.
7. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of digital consent in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from such children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of significant changes via the App or other appropriate means.
